The Mandala Implementation Architecture

The implementation consists of several interconnected layers:

The AI Pallet Layer

This is a native component of Mandala Chain, not just a smart contract. It sits at the same level as our balance management and consensus mechanisms. This deep integration means AI capabilities are as fundamental to the Mandala Chain as sending tokens. The AI Pallet manages:

  • Request validation and routing
  • Privacy compliance verification
  • Cost calculation and billing
  • Result verification and delivery

The Nillion Network Integration

Nillion provides the actual computation infrastructure. When a user makes an AI request, their encrypted data flows to Nillion's network of compute nodes. These nodes are distributed globally but can be deployed locally for jurisdiction compliance. For specific jurisdictions (Indonesia for example), we can ensure that data is processed by nodes physically located in that jurisdiction , satisfying data sovereignty requirements while still leveraging global AI models.

The Identity Bridge

This connects our existing Mandala-ID system with the AI infrastructure. Users don't need separate accounts or credentials. Their Mandala-ID provides authenticated access to AI services while maintaining complete privacy. The AI can verify that you're eligible for a service without learning who you are.
